Welcome to the website of the Hadleigh BeneficeThe benefice consists of the parish churches ofSt Mary's, Hadleigh in the diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich. The churches more or less follow the course of the River Brett, from Hadleigh downstream to Layham, and on to Shelley. Visitors travelling from Hadleigh need to follow the route to Lower Layham (signposted from Hadleigh High Street), over the ancient Toppesfield Bridge (pictured), to reach Layham Church and can continue by road to Shelley from there. While visiting St Andrew's Church in Layham, a pleasant walk down the lane, bearing left at the end, brings the visitor to a footbridge leading to Upper Layham. Layham Mill, with its original water wheel, is on the opposite bank, but the original mill was destroyed by fire and rebuilt in Victorian times. For many functions we operate as an inclusive team, therefore information for events and services are brought together for the benefice as a whole. For young people aged 12 upwards, see The Porch Project a successful meeting and activity facility. The Project now has its own website at www.porchproject.co.uk .

Previously monthly, from 2012 onwards the magazine is produced quarterly. Available in booklet form and also online (by email) as a pdf document, identical to the printed version.
